The role reports to the Associate Director of Partnerships and Policy.&nbsp;Primary ResponsibilitiesCarbon Removal Policy Engagement: Oversee and execute on an ongoing policy engagement strategy. Policy engagement includes managing policymaker relationships in Canada, responding to government RFIs on carbon removal (both in Canada and globally), and preparing internal memos on key developments.&nbsp; Canada CDR Policy Working Group: Provide support for our working group of more than 20 companies and nonprofits working to advance carbon removal in Canada. This includes preparing for working group meetings, organizing events in Canada and more.&nbsp;Launch &amp; Manage Campaigns: Support policy campaigns to advance carbon removal. This includes raising awareness of carbon removal in Canada, working in partnership with our communications team.&nbsp;Pathway-Specific Working Groups &amp; Policy Advancement: Support working groups on specific carbon removal pathways, like direct air capture and enhanced weathering. Working group support includes forming policy positions, leading on publications, and more.&nbsp;Policy Tracking: Track and report on policy developments happening in carbon removal, including in Canada, the United States, Europe, and globally across industrial sectors. Synthesize and share reports of relevant policy outcomes with coalition members.&nbsp;It is not required for a single candidate to have existing expertise across all these — we’re seeking candidates that are particularly strong in a few of the responsibilities and have some interest, capabilities, and willingness to learn in others.&nbsp;Required Qualifications&nbsp;<ul><li>At least five years of experience in public policy, government, trade associations, or a related industry.
