The role promotes the group Architecture Model through regular technology awareness communications and ensures compliance through solution designs for business IT projects. What you'll be doing<ul><li>Line Management of the UK Solution Architecture team and third-party technical consultants working as part of the UK IT Architecture team.</li><li>Support the definition and implementation of a single integrated function of Management of the IT Architecture in the Iberdrola Group, to make available the current portfolio of technologies with the most suitable and efficient information.</li><li>Implement, operate and manage the Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) Process to maintain the IT Architecture Model and ensure its applicability to business needs and IT strategy.</li><li>Participate in the definition, implementation and evolution of the Architecture IT strategic model and operation of the Iberdrola Group including IT standards, design patterns and communication plans to assure its adoption and buy-in within the UK.</li><li>Realise the technical design and of architecture of the business IT solutions within the UK</li><li>Contribute to the Iberdrola Group, a global vision of the state-of-the-art and best practice IT market generally, and in particular the implementation practices and technologies of architecture, and technological solutions in the Group.</li><li>Coordination of Annual Systems Planning of technology requirements (including high level designs, hardware, software and infrastructure services budget estimates) across all UK Businesses for input to Group PDS Planning process. </li><li>Alignment with Iberdrola Group technologies and the maintenance of the UK section of the Group Technology Blueprint.</li><li>Technology Evangelism – ensuring that technology standards and emerging changes are understood across the COE and TPOC teams.</li><li>Perform IT Governance process to align Business IT Solutions with approved and compliant standards.</li><li>Support digital transformation across ScottishPower businesses through the adoption of agile methodologies, management, identification and delivery of Disciplines inline with Digital Transformation programme</li><li>Ensure IT architectures and associated roadmaps are defined and communicated to all key stakeholders.</li></ul>What you'll bring<ul><li>Computer Science or relevant University degree / or equivalent industry experience</li><li>Good knowledge across a range of IT domains with an in-depth knowledge of certain technologies under his/her responsibility</li><li>Deep understanding of emerging Technologies, Industry Trends and IT Frameworks.</li><li>Continuous improvement oriented</li><li>Budget management experience</li><li>Project Management experience</li><li>Stakeholder Management experience</li><li>Purchasing processes, supplier management and service contracting experience</li><li>5 years’ experience in infrastructure life cycle management</li><li>3 years’ experience in Innovation management.</li><li>3 years’ experience people management as a team leader</li><li>Ability to promote key change at departmental or business level</li><li>Effectively participate in matrix management structures</li><li>An effective communicator, the role holder will have multiple years of consulting experience across varied customers and industries with deep understanding of business applications and competencies and should be able to get involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility.</li><li>Given the breadth of technologies and applications used across ScottishPower, it is expected that the role holder will have worked in a variety of IT disciplines and will have gained knowledge across most aspects of infrastructure, application and operational disciplines with strong supporting knowledge of (vertical and horizontal) industry  applications.</li><li>The role holder will be a focal point for information requests and decision-making within IT and advising/defining on specific IT designs.
