The Site Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for site-level performance, safety, and stakeholder communication, ensuring our storage assets deliver maximum value to the grid and our customers.RequirementsKey Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Operational Oversight</li><li>Lead day-to-day site operations, including monitoring performance, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring system availability.</li><li>Oversee startup, shutdown, and control of BESS systems in coordination with operations control centers.</li><li>Manage SCADA/EMS interfaces and track performance KPIs.</li><li>Maintenance &amp; Reliability</li><li>Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for batteries, inverters, transformers, and balance-of-plant equipment.</li><li>Coordinate with OEMs, engineers, and third-party contractors to resolve technical issues.</li><li>Implement root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.</li><li>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, environmental, and local regulatory standards.</li><li>Lead site safety culture, including toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and emergency response planning.</li><li>Maintain site records, permits, and reporting in line with regulatory and company requirements.</li><li>Leadership &amp; Stakeholder Management</li><li>Supervise site technicians, contractors, and service providers.</li><li>Act as the primary onsite representative for internal teams, regulators, landowners, and community stakeholders.</li><li>Support training and development of staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.</li><li>Reporting &amp; Administration</li><li>Prepare and present site performance reports, outage summaries, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Manage site budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor contracts.</li><li>Support asset management teams with financial forecasting, warranty management, and insurance claims.</li><li>Open to all other duties needed by hiring manager.</li></ul>Required Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Energy Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>NABCEP certification, OSHA 30, or NFPA 70E training.</li><li>Prior site management experience in renewable energy (solar, wind, hybrid projects).</li><li>Familiarity with performance guarantees, warranty obligations, and regulatory reporting.</li><li>Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS)</li><li>Powin Centipede Stack750E experience</li></ul>Required Experience<ul><li>Specialized Skills</li><li>5+ years of experience in renewable energy, utility operations, or energy storage, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.</li><li>Strong background in high-voltage systems, power electronics, and/or battery storage technologies.</li><li>Technical Skills</li><li>Knowledge of lithium-ion BESS technology, SCADA/EMS platforms, and power distribution systems.</li><li>Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, site drawings, and technical manuals.</li><li>Proficiency in CMMS, asset management, and reporting tools.</li><li>Other Requirements</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation as required.</li><li>Willingness to travel to other sites, as needed, for project work.</li><li>Open to all other duties needed by hiring manager.</li></ul>Physical RequirementsThe Battery Storage Site Manager may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:<ul><li>Heavy Lifting</li><li>Exposure to weather elements</li><li>Working at Heights</li><li>Able to stand and climb for long periods of time</li></ul>
