<h3>Job Purpose:</h3>Inspire &amp; empower excellence in health, safety and environmental sustainability in Aliaxis. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Communicate a compelling vision<ul><li>Articulate “business case” for HSE excellence, linked to Aliaxis values &amp; priorities.</li><li>Develop a common understanding of what excellence looks like.</li></ul></li><li>Develop strategies &amp; plans aligned with Aliaxis global strategy<ul><li>Facilitate development of an HSE strategy &amp; action plan that reflect the risk profile, stakeholder expectations and is consistent with Group strategy.</li><li>Ensure EHS goals &amp; objectives are embedded in job description/expectations of each employee.</li></ul></li><li>Risk management<ul><li>Ensure action plans to reduce risk &amp; impacts are in line with hierarchy of control.</li><li>Ensure Document Unique is maintained in place and controls are applied.</li></ul></li><li>Enhance leadership competencies<ul><li>Train &amp; coach business leaders to enable them to effectively lead &amp; manage HSE within their areas of responsibility.</li><li>Ensure an effective HSE onboarding programme is in place for new starters.</li></ul></li><li>Provide expert advice<ul><li>Advise business on improving performance, eg on managing key risks, developing business processes, and creating a strong HSE culture.</li><li>Advise on HSE investment proposals to ensure effective prioritisation of resources.</li><li>Coach analyses of incidents to ensure effective learning and action planning.</li></ul></li><li>Share-in &amp; share-out<ul><li>Maintain positive &amp; proactive communications with local HSE authorities</li><li>Identify &amp; communicate learnings &amp; good practices from inside &amp; outside Okondo.</li><li>Create pride in achievements to help motivate further improvement.</li></ul></li><li>Analyse performance data<ul><li>Put in place metrics &amp; business processes, and analyse data to identify risks, trends &amp; opportunities.</li><li>Monitor progress on legal compliance, risk management, capability building, and culture development.</li></ul></li></ul>Required experience &amp; knowledge:<ul><li>University degree in HSE or related discipline + professional qualifications in health &amp; safety and environment.</li><li>Understand the business, French legislation and stakeholder requirements.</li><li>Practical knowledge of current good practice in HSE management, including:<ul><li>Assessment &amp; control of relevant HSE risks &amp; impacts;</li><li>HSE management systems &amp; business processes, including ISO 45001 &amp; ISO 14001.</li><li>Application of sustainability to different aspects of Aliaxis business;</li><li>HSE culture development.</li></ul></li><li>Experience of:<ul><li>Driving behavioural change in a complex, large organisation.</li><li>Leading teams &amp; developing people.</li></ul></li></ul>Functional competencies:<ul><li>Fluent in Spanish &amp; English.</li><li>Change management &amp; communication.</li><li>Continuous improvement &amp; problem-solving techniques.</li><li>Coaching &amp; training.</li></ul>
