As part of a global Network Operations team, the successful candidate will be a strong technical lead with excellent troubleshooting skills.Role Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide L3 technical support for TP ICAP’s global network infrastructure</li><li>Ensure all changes to production follow the TPICAP Permit to Operate process and adhere to Change Control processes.</li><li>Ensure all high or Critical changes are peer reviewed before being committed to production and are fully tested post release</li><li>Troubleshoot complex technical issues, working with customers and third-party suppliers</li><li>Resolve incidents, requests and changes in a timely manner, including escalations</li><li>Provide mentoring and support for L1/L2 engineers in Network Operations</li><li>Contribute to knowledge sharing by maintaining accurate documentation and KB articles</li><li>Maintain the performance and accuracy of monitoring platforms, and perform upgrades</li><li>Assist with reporting requirements, including performance and capacity planning</li><li>Peer review change requests raised by the team</li></ul>Experience and CompetenciesTechnical<ul><li>Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, preferably including Qos, MPLS, Multicast,  Nexus &amp; ACI</li><li>Strong knowledge of firewall platforms &amp; VPN technologies</li><li>Strong knowledge of application &amp; content delivery platforms</li><li>Strong knowledge of network management tools, including Solarwinds</li><li>Strong knowledge of packet level troubleshooting with Wireshark</li><li>Good knowledge of Voice applications including CUCM &amp; SfB</li><li>Good knowledge of automation tools including Ansible and Python.</li></ul>Non-Technical<ul><li>Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis upon ownership and communication,</li><li>Enthusiastic about networking with a keen willingness to share knowledge and help peers</li><li>Robust appreciation of the impact and risk of changes in a business critical environment</li><li>Eager to learn and to ‘roll up sleeves’ in a busy environment</li><li>A pro-active approach to Service Management, focus on preventative to reactive support.</li><li>Continuous Improvement approach</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>3+ years’ experience in an operational role supporting global enterprise networks</li><li>Experience working in Financial Services, either directly or through a service provider</li><li>Knowledge and experience of ITIL working practices, including change management</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Educated to degree level in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience</li><li>Minimum Experienced Cisco CCNP qualified with CCIE being desirable (now or in the future)</li><li>Fortinet Certification and ITIL Foundation highly desirable</li></ul> Job Band &amp; Level<ul><li>Manager / 6</li></ul>#LI-Hybrid #LI-MIDNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
