The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate tax filing requirements, managing Senior Tax Accountant, interfacing with taxing authorities, researching issues, and managing tax projects as assigned.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare the consolidated corporate federal and combined state income tax returns, quarterly tax estimates, and return extensions.</li><li>Prepare the quarterly and annual tax provisions, annual true-ups, and DTA valuation allowance analysis.</li><li>Prepare the tax provision forecasts and cash flow analysis.</li><li>Prepare quarterly intercompany tax allocations.</li><li>Manage the controlled group data collections and calculations.</li><li>Coordinate the R&amp;D credit calculation with Hitachi group companies.</li><li>Prepare the transfer pricing adjustments and support consultants with local file preparation for parent company in Japan.</li><li>Provide information to external consultants for IFRIC 23 analysis.</li><li>Manage and review all aspects of U.S. and Canadian federal, state, and local sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, GST/HST, excise tax and other tax filings prepared by Senior Tax Accountant.</li><li>Manage sales and use tax planning opportunities and tax impacts of changes in business operations and acquisitions.</li><li>Respond to tax notices and represent company in tax audits.</li><li>Conduct technical research and provide recommendation on tax issues.</li><li>Assist in various tax projects as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting or Taxation. Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 12+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in multinational consolidated tax compliance and financial reporting.
