The position will be responsible for sourcing and structuring offtake agreements including PPAs, Utility RFPs, and bilateral offtake agreements.This position will work closely with the entire Revenue team as well as members of the Development and Finance teams at Cypress Creek Renewables. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing commercial team actively advancing renewable energy projects.Responsibilities<ul><li>Drive internal and external process related to offtake opportunities, including RFP engagements with regulated utilities, as  well as bilateral offtake negotiations.</li><li>Develop and execute on origination strategy, with a bias towards offering wholistic power solutions to Large Load Customers</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers</li><li>Contribute to marketing efforts and customer outreach to communicate key attributes of product offerings</li><li>Leverage the company’s greenfield pipeline and existing fleet of solar and battery storage assets to structure value-added products for customers</li><li>Support the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of long-term PPAs, VPPAs, and innovative commercial structures with corporate customers to facilitate the development of solar and storage while meeting customer sustainability goals</li><li>Identify customer opportunities and lead the pricing, structuring, and negotiation of offtake agreements</li><li>Represent the company to potential customers in bilateral meetings and at industry events</li><li>Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Revenue, Development, Project Finance, Fleet, and Solutions teams</li><li>Prepare internal analysis, memos, and presentations</li><li>Stay informed on trends impacting renewable development and their implications for customer opportunities</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience RequiredRequired ExperienceOne of the following experiences is required (multiple are a strong plus):<ul><li>Experience originating and negotiating bilateral, term transactions in organized power markets</li><li>Experience trading within U.S. regional transmission organizations (RTOs) or independent system operators (ISOs)</li><li>Significant regulatory or commercial experience with available green tariffs</li><li>Experience supplying load or buying as an end-user</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum five (5) years of experience with a renewable developer, power marketing firm, corporate energy end-user, utility, or consultant with direct customer engagement experience</li><li>Experience structuring bilateral offtake transactions</li><li>High level of fluency in PPA document language, key terms and ability to structure and negotiate these terms</li><li>Knowledge of / experience with datacenter power procurement, relationships in this space is highly desirable</li><li>Network of potential customers</li><li>Knowledge of U.S. energy markets, RTO operations, and electric transmission</li><li>Knowledge of the physical transmission system and long-term procurement required to enable generation projects</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area required</li><li>Experience leading contractual analysis and proposal submissions</li><li>Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, negotiate, and implement PPAs coordinating with customers, internal stakeholders, and external advisors</li><li>Ability to identify and formulate risk management strategies for various offtake structures</li><li>Strong commercial capabilities to balance customer and business needs</li><li>Professional presence and excellent communication skills</li><li>Understanding of renewable generation technology, especially solar and battery storage</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel as needed</li><li>Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables</li></ul>Location: The preferred location for this role is one of our office locations: Chicago, IL or New York City, NY. Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office schedule of three days per week.Compensation: The salary range for the position is $160,000- $220,000 plus bonus and benefits.
