If you answered yes to both these questions then you should apply for the BEDFund Marketing and Outreach Coordinator role. In this role, you will work with the BEDFund Committee (which includes the Head Manager, Discipline Club Coordinator, and Director of Academics) to improve student engagement with the BEDFund, an endowment fund created to improve Queen's Engineering students' access to high-quality educational resources. Responsibilities in the position include:<ul><li>Planning events to gather BED Fund suggestions and proposals from the student body.</li><li>Marketing the BED Fund and events.</li><li>Educating the student body on what the BED Fund is to increase awareness.</li><li>Attend biweekly BED Fund Committee meetings</li><li>Review BED Fund proposals with the rest of the team and decide which proposals to approve.</li></ul>Estimated time commitment: 2-3 hours/ week. Applicants should have the following skills:<ul><li>Leadership</li><li>Organization &amp; time management</li><li>Creativity </li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Good team work skills</li></ul>Additionally, experience with marketing, social media campaigns, or other outreach-related initiatives is an asset; however, this experience is not required for the role.
