We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in our Leuven office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EPLAN for electrical schematics and panel design, a strong understanding of CE and UL compliance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and validating electrical systems for industrial automation and machinery, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric.</li><li>Ensure all designs comply with CE marking requirements and UL standards.</li><li>Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete machine designs.</li><li>Perform risk assessments and ensure machinery safety in accordance with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, and other relevant standards.</li><li>Support the development of technical documentation including BOMs, wiring lists, and test procedures.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during manufacturing and commissioning.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical design best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes.</li><li>Apply CMSE principles to ensure functional safety and risk mitigation in machine design.</li><li>Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations the selection and use of new electrical parts.</li></ul>
