This role is based in our Langley BC Plant, and reports to the Purchasing Lead.</div><div><div><div><div>Do not miss the opportunity to join a broad family of people-centric professionals, thought leaders and rapid thinkers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!The incumbent will work with a proactive approach and respond to the needs for procurement of goods and services required to support optimize productivity and cost savings at our Langley BC Plant. Principal Responsibilities <ul><li>Be responsible for the purchasing of all Indirect goods and services required to support plant operations these sites – including commodities such as Industrial, Safety &amp; Janitorial supplies, Services, etc.</li><li>Active in Supplier Selection &amp; Rationalization and Inventory Management</li><li>Negotiate pricing and Supply Agreements on selected items while maintaining strong supplier relationships.</li><li>Work closely with Strategic Sourcing on cost reduction initiatives to reduce facility budget spend</li><li>Implement solid purchasing practices as per team initiatives.</li><li>Implement VMI / Min-Max processes to manage inventory levels to ensure that location has necessary materials to run the day-to-day operations.</li><li>Standardize site purchases throughout both facilities</li><li>Support of 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>2 - 3 years’ proven purchasing experience</li><li>Work experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred</li></ul><ul><li>SCMP / CPM accreditation an asset</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills</li><li>Well-developed organization and prioritization skills</li><li>Intermediate/Expert knowledge of Excel/Microsoft Office.</li></ul>IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
