<div><span style="font-size:16px;">As a Staff Electrical Distribution System Engineer at Zoox, you’ll play a key role in designing one of the most advanced wiring harness systems ever built into a vehicle, while also providing technical leadership to the team. Working within the highly collaborative Electrical Systems Team, you’ll help ensure seamless communication between controllers, sensors, and subsystems, critical for the safe and reliable operation of our autonomous vehicles. You’ll be instrumental in shaping design guidelines, implementing best practices, and driving process improvements across the full development lifecycle, mentoring junior engineers and guiding technical direction. This is an opportunity to help define the future of mobility and bring Zoox’s vision for autonomous transportation to life.</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Own the end-to-end design of complex low-voltage and high-speed wiring harnesses using CATIA V5/V6, ensuring quality, compliance, and manufacturability</li><li>Define and manage processes for device transmittals, schematics, and 3D harness routing across the product lifecycle</li><li>Develop best practices and provide technical guidance to junior engineers to continuously improve electrical distribution design methodologies</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define low-voltage distribution system requirements, endpoints and interfaces</li><li>Lead supplier engagements and drive continuous improvement within the electrical engineering function</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent degree</li><li>At least 10 years of automotive or aerospace engineering experience</li><li>Experience with automotive EE system-level communication (CAN, LIN) and power distribution architectures</li><li>Demonstrated release of hardware products with firmware/software dependencies</li><li>Hardware and software integration experience</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>15+ years of experience in automotive or aerospace engineering is preferred</li><li>Experience with Capital/Mentor Graphics Topology, HarnessXC Bridging</li><li>Experience with ISO26262, EE HW reliability life calculations, and system FMEA analysis</li><li>Experience with high-speed automotive electronics communication protocols (GMSL, automotive ethernet, A2B)</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
