Founded in 2019,</strong><strong> we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</strong></p></div></div></div></div></div></div><p>  </p><p><strong>Essential Duties</strong>:</p><p>Redwood Materials is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the Mechanical Separation Engineering team with the development, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities Will Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Fabricate and assemble new equipment from prototypes to production</li><li>Process plant installation, commissioning and ramp-up</li><li>Troubleshoot and solve process and equipment issues</li><li> Assist with operation of equipment for engineering trials and handovers</li><li>Support manufacturing improvement projects</li><li>Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures</li><li>Develop equipment documentation for operation and maintenance</li><li>Manage jobs submitted to fab shops to ensure parts are made per design and required specifications</li><li>Design tooling and fixtures</li><li>Author common troubleshooting guides to assist maintenance personnel</li><li> Review and provide input on new process/equipment designs</li><li>Partner with mechanical development team to transition newly developed processes and equipment into manufacturing</li><li>Identify and execute continuous improvement project</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in industrial equipment/processes</li><li>Hands-on and detailed oriented approach to problem solving</li><li>Metal fabrication and machine shop experience</li><li>Good computer skills; MS Office, etc.</li><li>Solid Modeling 3D CAD experience preferred</li><li>Welding experience preferred</li><li>A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments</li><li> Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed</li><li>Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards</li><li>Must be able to communicate clearly</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><div><p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">The position is full-time.
