EHS Coordinator – 6 Month contract/secondmentScarborough *This is an Internal opportunity only*You have a responsibility to inform your current line/department manager and local human resources representative before applying for the role.POSITION SUMMARY: The H&amp;S Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support for health and safety requirements. This individual will work closely with the Senior EHS Manager and the EHS Specialist at Falkirk/Larbert to ensure that the H&amp;S programme is maintained and communicated to employees, regulatory requirements are met, and that all safety notice boards are kept up to date. <ul> <li> WHAT YOU WILL DO: Implementation and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures and standards</li> <li>Meeting minute taking for SHEF committee &amp; assisting with monthly SHEF slides</li> <li>Q Pulse – management of procedures, risk assessments, MSDS, fire and weekly inspections, SHEF committee actions, accidents and near misses, uploading of documents</li> <li>Management of spreadsheets – accident and near misses, Coshh, weekly inspections, prescription safety glasses</li> <li>Administration of Safety alerts/bulletins/lessons learnt</li> <li>Management of Coshh management system</li> <li>Scanning of documents e.g. accident investigations etc. for upload to Q Pulse</li> <li>Maintaining stock of first aid room items </li> <li>Managing the stock of safety footwear and other PPE</li> <li>Claims – gathering relevant information and scanning and sending documents to insurers, maintaining files (electronic and manual)</li> <li>Filing as required</li> <li>Back up for fire team (fire alarm tests etc)</li> </ul>WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:<ul> <li>Good communication, planning &amp; coordination skills</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively at all levels</li> <li>Relevant Qualification in a related field is an advantage</li> <li>Good IT Skills Microsoft Office, Excel and other project management tools</li> <li>Solid organisational skills including high attention to detail. </li> <li>Experience in HSE and or Quality environment. </li> <li>Able to demonstrate good understanding of key EHS practises</li> </ul>WHY JOIN OUR TEAM:<ul> <li>Generous salary package – we reward our people at the level they deserve.</li> <li>A 37-hour working week</li> <li>Ongoing employee development through a variety of in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions. </li> <li>Annual leave entitlement which increases with tenure.</li> <li>Pension scheme to help you save for the future. </li> <li>Access to our Employee Assistance Programme which offers practical, impartial support on issues impacting your life.</li> <li>Cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, as your health and wellbeing is important to us.</li> </ul>OUR WHY: We move people.
