Position Summary: We’re seeking a Senior Solar Technician to be a field leader in our Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) team. In this role, you’ll lead service work, train junior technicians, troubleshoot complex solar systems, and represent CSS to clients in the field. What You'll Do:<ul><li>Troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators </li><li>Lead commissioning, quality assurance inspection, or preventative maintenance work as needed</li><li>Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to client </li><li>Provide on-the-job training to less experienced field staff, be a leader in safe and proper work practices </li><li>Perform vegetative maintenance as required </li><li>Ensure a premium level of customer service </li><li>Out of town stays are sometimes required</li><li>Participate in weekend and holiday on-call schedule </li><li>Out of town stays are sometimes required </li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul><li>Ability to create and support team morale </li><li>Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70EB </li><li>Exemplary verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Team oriented attitude </li><li>Prioritizes safety daily, actively participate and lead site safety meetings </li><li>General computer, network, and technology proficiency </li><li>Values staff development and organizational excellence </li><li>Firm understanding of the principles of electrical theory and photovoltaic power generation </li><li>Understanding &amp; experience in the operation and concepts relating to electrical and mechanical trade work </li></ul> Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record in order to operate a company vehicle </li><li>4-5 years of Solar and O&amp;M experience</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>First-Aid/CPR/AED certified </li><li>NFPA 70E certified </li><li>OSHA 30 certified</li><li>OEM certified training on one or more inverter systems </li><li>Commissioning or maintenance experience </li></ul> Physical Demands: <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently</li><li>Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness </li></ul> Work Environment: <ul><li>~90% of time spent in-field at utility scale solar facilities </li><li>Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold</li><li>Exposure to native plants and, occasionally, animals </li><li>Exposure to electrical hazards </li></ul> The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
