In this role, you will report directly to the BU Environmental Program Lead and act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for environmental risk assessments and chemical safety, including usage and storages of oil, oil farms and piping line system systems, including emergency preparedness and response, preventive measures and innovative alarm systems. How you'll make an impact<ul><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and permits across operations, supporting local units to comply with it. Internally, will oversee implementation and maintenance of environmental policies and procedures tailored to specific operational needs, developing and implementing specific environmental instructions if needed</li><li>Conduct comprehensive environmental impact assessments and site evaluations to identify potential hazards and reduce the environmental risk to acceptable levels, defining and helping the units to implement effective risk control measures based on assessment findings</li><li>Plan and conduct internal and external environmental audits to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other functions and teams to propose specific action plans for findings in audits</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that impact environmental practices.
