The candidate must also be dependable, time conscious and work efficiently to achieve department goals on a weekly basis with minimal supervision.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all of the following:<ul><li>Perform CAE and test-based analysis to support the delivery of Vehicle Dynamics performance</li><li>Provide feedback on existing CAE tools to create and streamline efficiency</li><li>Interaction with current and potential customers regarding the use of Pratt Miller core technologies</li><li>Support development of material for education and training purposes, both for external customers and internal employees</li><li>Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing</li><li>Able to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment</li><li>Support vehicle test as required  </li></ul>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<ul><li>Completed course work toward BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar engineering education</li><li>Relevant experience with multibody simulation engineering analysis work, vehicle dynamics, and/or control system development during internships, co-ops, and/or student projects</li><li>This position requires technical writing skills for reports and specifications using MS Word and Excel; good platform skills using PowerPoint for presentations.</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to manage his/her own workload to meet important deadlines  </li></ul>DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:<ul><li>MSC ADAMS product line, CarSim, MotionView, Dymola, Matlab and Simulink</li><li>Member of student engineering projects teams (Formula SAE, Baja, AutoDrive, etc)</li><li>Experience with DOE, DFSS, and optimization tools such as HEEDS</li><li>Experience with data analysis or visualization tools such as Motec i2, Pi, or Tableau</li><li>Experience in programming languages such as Python, Fortran, or C</li><li>Basic skills in FEA (NASTRAN/ANSYS/ABAQUS) and CAD (ProE, Unigraphics, Catia) a plus  </li></ul>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the ideal candidate must possess but not limited to all the following:<ul><li>Be a team player</li><li>Have great attention to detail</li><li>Strong work ethic and pride in their workmanship</li></ul>Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
