This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and seamless market integration.<ul> </ul>In this role, you will be involved with the following:Market Entry Planning:<ul> <li>Develop and manage the operational roadmap for entering the ERCOT market.</li> <li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure all regulatory, technical, and market requirements are met.</li> <li>Lead the registration and onboarding process with ERCOT, TDSPs, and other market entities.</li></ul>Operational Infrastructure Development:<ul> <li>Design and implement systems and processes for customer enrollment, billing, settlements, and data management.</li> <li>Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to integrate EDI transaction capabilities and market communication protocols.</li> <li>Establish SOPs for load forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.</li></ul>Regulatory &amp; Compliance Oversight:<ul> <li>Ensure full compliance with ERCOT protocols, PUCT regulations, and REP obligations.</li> <li>Maintain documentation and reporting standards for audits and regulatory reviews.</li> <li>Monitor market rule changes and assess operational impacts.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Leadership:<ul> <li>Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Service teams to align operational capabilities with business goals.</li> <li>Support product development and pricing strategies with operational insights.</li> <li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.</li></ul>Performance Monitoring &amp; Reporting:<ul> <li>Track key operational metrics including load accuracy, settlement variances, and customer lifecycle performance.</li> <li>Develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into operational health.</li> <li>Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and risks proactively.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy Management, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in retail energy operations, preferably within ERCOT or other deregulated markets.</li> <li>Strong understanding of ERCOT protocols, REP operations, and market settlement processes.</li> <li>Experience with EDI transactions, load forecasting, and TDSP coordination.</li> <li>Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM/ERP systems.</li></ul>Preferred Experience:<ul> <li>Prior involvement in launching a retail energy business or expanding into new markets.</li> <li>Familiarity with ERCOT systems such as MarkeTrak, Texas SET, and Retail Market Testing.</li> <li>PMP or Six Sigma certification is a plus.</li></ul> DiversityCelebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to what we do.
