This role involves implementing HSSE policies and procedures, conducting site inspections, and promoting a safe work environment. The HSSE Supervisor plays a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of all personnel and ensuring that the construction project adheres to all relevant HSSE standards and regulations. Duties and responsibilities  HSSE Policy Implementation <ul><li>Implement HSSE policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the construction site.</li><li>Ensure all site personnel are aware of and comply with HSSE policies and procedures.</li><li>Conduct regular training sessions and toolbox talks to promote HSSE awareness and best practices.</li></ul> Site Inspections and Audits <ul><li>Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSSE standards.</li><li>Monitor construction activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed.</li><li>Document inspection findings and follow up on corrective actions to address any non-compliances.</li></ul> Incident and Accident Management <ul><li>Investigate and report all incidents, accidents, and near misses on the construction site.</li><li>Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of incidents and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.</li></ul> Risk Assessment and Management <ul><li>Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential HSSE risks associated with construction activities.</li><li>Develop and implement risk mitigation measures to minimize HSSE risks.</li><li>Regularly review and update risk assessments as necessary.</li></ul> Emergency Preparedness and Response <ul><li>Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for the construction site.</li><li>Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions to ensure site personnel are prepared to respond to emergencies.</li><li>Coordinate with local emergency services and authorities as needed.</li></ul> Environmental Compliance <ul><li>Ensure all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and standards.</li><li>Monitor and manage waste disposal, pollution control, and environmental impact mitigation measures.</li><li>Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental management plans.</li></ul> Security Management <ul><li>Implement security measures to protect site personnel, equipment, and materials.</li><li>Coordinate with security personnel to ensure site security is maintained at all times.</li><li>Investigate and report any security breaches or incidents.</li></ul> Stakeholder Communication <ul><li>Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.</li><li>Provide regular updates on HSSE performance, challenges, and improvements.</li><li>Participate in project meetings to address HSSE-related concerns and coordinate solutions.</li></ul> Required skills and education background.  <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree, National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSSE management, with at least 3 years in the renewable energy or construction industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the construction industry.</li><li>Internal auditing (14001,45001)</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Proficiency in HSSE management software and tools.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and based on project site.</li></ul> Desirable attributes The ideal candidate would have a passion for the Renewable Energy sector and personality traits would include a high level of diligence, determination, resilience, and agility. Mulilo is an employer of choice and is offering an extremely competitive total remuneration package for this position. Additional Information  Able to work overtime according to operational needs. Travel will be required occasionally.</div></div>
