This role assists with audits, identifies process improvements, and may mentor junior accounting staff.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p>● Process a higher volume of transactions and perform account reconciliations with minimal supervision.● Research, track, and resolve moderate financial discrepancies and customer/vendor issues.● Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.● Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and schedules.● Train and mentor junior Accounting Specialists or clerical staff on standard processes and systems.● Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and financial process improvements.● Monitor compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.● Partner with branch and department leaders to resolve financial questions and support reporting needs.</p><p>● Other duties as assigned</p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>● High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or coursework in Accounting preferred.● 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.● Solid knowledge of accounting principles, AP/AR processes, and reconciliations.● Experience with accounting or ERP software and strong Excel skills.● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.● Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.● Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.</p><h2>Travel Requirements</h2><p>● This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events.
