Do you thrive in building and leading programs that empower people, strengthen the workforce, and support long-term industry growth? Position Summary:Gridworks is seeking a skilled Apprenticeship Program Manager who will be responsible for the apprenticeship life cycle from onboarding to completion. This Program Manager will partner with recruitment for candidate outreach activities, manage apprenticeship data and compliance requirements, and provide support services to apprentices. This person will manage an effective program aligned with the company’s business objectives, and the policies, procedures, and tasks required to maintain a safe, quality focused environment on site. Will also work collaboratively with multiple functional and operational teams to create and maintain a best-in-industry apprenticeship program(s).Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>Build trust and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization, including staff, craft, stakeholders, and senior executives.</li><li>Manage and assist with project transfers of apprentices.</li><li>Collaborate with HR business partners, Recruitment team members, and functional business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and recommend apprenticeship program initiatives for target roles or under-represented groups.</li><li>Perform apprenticeship and workforce development daily operations and project management processes and procedures, including general program administration, data tracking, budgeting, grant management, record keeping, and reporting.</li><li>Ensure apprentices are progressing in the program by tracking On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the tracking system.</li><li>Schedule, attend, and/or assist in-person training courses with instructors.</li><li>Ensure program is compliant with corporate program standards and federal regulations, ensure existing standards and internal policies are maintained and updated, and rewrite/revise apprenticeship standards as needed.</li><li>Work closely with the State administered program leaders to track and monitor apprentice progress to completion.</li><li>Partner with recruiters to conduct outreach and recruitment strategies for future apprentices to build a network of apprentices to support apprenticeship opportunities.</li><li>Serve as an NCCER secondary representative and administrator for the company. </li><li>Other job duties as requested by the Director of Workforce. </li></ul>Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent with minimum six (6) years’ experience relevant to the position or Associate degree (A.A.), Bachelor’s degree in business, education, workforce development, or other closely related discipline associated with the position requirements with minimum five (3) years of experience</li><li>Experience in program management and/or workforce development including planning, coordinating, and implementing educational programs</li><li>Experience with Apprenticeships Preferred</li><li>Bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:<ul><li>Take reasonable care of yourself and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles </li><li>Functional computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees/apprentices</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence others</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict and disagreements in a positive and constructive manor</li><li>Ability to travel 25% of the time</li><li>Valid Driver’s License (CDL Preferred)</li></ul>Working Environment:<ul><li>When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions</li><li>This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises</li></ul>
