(TBE) in Knoxville, TN is seeking a senior (minimum of 10 years' experience) mechanical engineer experienced in developing mechanical and controls systems. The TBE Knoxville facility specializes in developing the next-generation-system for use in nuclear explosion monitoring networks, such as the International Monitoring System (IMS) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. <ul><li>Creating fabrication and assembly drawings IAW ASME Y14 standards</li><li>Tolerancing and design for manufacturability</li><li>Interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting and design purposes</li><li>Developing proposals, test reports, customer presentations, design specifications, etc.</li><li>Interface with technicians to ensure specifications are attainable and verify compliance</li><li>Interface with customers in technical working groups</li><li>Estimate labor hours, track actuals, and coordinate scheduling with other project managers</li><li>Troubleshooting complex systems from sensor data and log files</li><li>Creating bills of materials for new designs and tracking materials during fabrication</li><li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities                           This job may include supervisory responsibilities, including providing technical leadership to lower-level Engineers.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
