We focus on the challenges and opportunities in enhancing grid flexibility and facilitating renewable energy proliferation. In this context, we offer an internship position which provides the opportunity of working on real-world projects in an international team of research scientists.  How you’ll make an impact <ul><li>Build coupled electro-thermal models of toroidal core common-mode chokes for the high-frequency range </li><li>Capture thermal paths for frequency-dependent losses (core and conductor)</li><li>Develop efficient simulation models to verify and validate the developed models</li><li>Collaborate with experts in a multi-disciplinary research team</li><li>Present progress updates and results and write technical reports </li><li>Contribute to scientific publications </li></ul>Your background<ul><li>Currently pursuing an MSc degree in physics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a similar subject – official enrolment is essential</li><li>Fluent English language, both written and spoken </li><li>Good understanding of electromagnetics and circuit theory. Basic knowledge of power electronics is a plus </li><li>Experience with simulation and modelling with MATLAB or Python.
