We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences and supports and celebrates all our team members.What you’ll do:<ul><li>Manage the Powertrain (Battery Pack/Electric Motor) manufacturing design engineering teams, responsible from prototype through series production</li><li>Collaborate with Product Design Engineering, Test, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams</li><li>Lead the development of a high-volume electric motor/battery pack production system including </li><ul><li>Design For Manufacturing </li><li>Process development</li><li>Plant layout</li><li>Equipment selection and management</li><li>Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test</li><li>Installation</li><li>New Product Introduction</li></ul><li>Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs, optimize product flow and line efficiency by designing or improving tools, jigs, stations, work methods and ergonomics using the 5S methodology</li><li>Drive process control, specifically in the areas of quality and equipment capability</li><li>Support process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA) </li><li>Support supply chain development and procurement of key components</li><li>Support operations on the shop floor, establish KPIs in order to drive performance management, identify trends and mitigate risks</li><li>Develop, coach and mentor ME’s to ensure they understand roles &amp; responsibilities, provide performance feedback, develop a career roadmap and partner with them on their career aspirations</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>BS or MS Degree in Engineering or a related field</li><li>5+ years experience in manufacturing and / or automation</li><li>2+ years experience in the EV field specifically with electric motor manufacturing (rotor or stator manufacturing)/battery pack manufacturing</li><li>2+ years managing team</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with prototype and high-volume manufacturing</li><li>Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning </li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated experience in statistical process control, GD&amp;T, and lean manufacturing concepts</li><li>Knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79, NEC, UL508A)</li><li>Knowledge of Safety Standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA)</li><li>Experience integrating/setting up/using a wide variety of industrial equipment such as dispense systems, torque tools, power transducers, etc.</li><li>Experience with CAD, PLM, MES, and ERP software.</li><li>Working knowledge of PLCs, robots, motion control devices, vision systems and human machine safety devices.</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications: <ul><li>Experience with Stator and or Rotor Lines RFQ/PO/FAT/SAT/SOP and handoffs.</li><li>Experience with Stator and or Rotor lines vendors and its machines deployment.</li><li>Experience with Hairpin Stators and or Permanent Magnet Rotors</li><li>FAR 23 experience</li><li>Part 21 experience</li><li>FAA Production Certificate experience</li></ul>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
