AECOM is seeking a Senior Architect - Assistant Department Manager with a passion for design and mentorship to join our growing team. The candidate will ultimately have experience in Federal projects and a desire to grow into a leadership role in Virginia Beach, VA. <ul><li>Responsible for providing architectural design, guidance, calculations, analysis, studies, and specialized project-based design recommendations.</li><li>Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge to lead and manage various size groups of architects, designers, and/or specialists.</li><li>Will lead projects of various sizes and types as the Project Architect.</li><li>Maintains conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, technical and industry standards for design and construction.</li><li>Reviews junior team member’s work for quality and recognition of training requirements.</li><li>Leads Aspiring Architects in design and development of professional growth.</li><li>Maintains liaison with units and individuals inside and outside the organization.</li><li>Performs various management and leadership responsibilities alongside the Architecture Department Manager.</li><li>Works collaboratively with managers and other team members to achieve AECOM’s mission.</li><li>Work with the Department Manager to create discipline plans to meet overall project team requirements for project scope and schedule.</li><li>Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and developing fee proposals for project pursuits.</li></ul>
