We are looking for motivated, energetic people to join our dynamic Team!  This position is on our 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm.    The QA Inspector will inspect products manufactured or processed by HYDAC to ensure compliance to contract specifications. This position has three (3) levels; A, B, and C. Level C is an entry level position and Level A is the highest. In order to be considered for Level A or B the employee must meet the requirements of all lower levels.Requirements The QA Inspector will inspect products manufactured or processed by HYDAC to ensure compliance to contract specifications. This position has three (3) levels; A, B, and C. Level C is an entry level position and Level A is the highest. In order to be considered for Level A or B the employee must meet the requirements of all lower levels.  You will make an impact and be successful in this role with the following skills and responsibilities: Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLEVEL C:<ul><li>Performs incoming inspection of selected purchased goods and fabricated products.</li><li>Process quality related documentation including certifications.</li><li>Follows QSP-0002 to process non-conforming material.</li><li>Performs audits and inspection of stock (raw material and finished goods) as directed.</li><li>Uses inspection equipment such as pin gages, ring gages, thread gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.to accomplish metrology of product features.</li><li>Completes inspection dimensional reports.</li><li>Compile certification documents for finished goods.</li></ul>LEVEL B:<ul><li>Performs outgoing inspections of selected products.</li><li>Accomplished testing and evaluation of returned goods. Determines causes of failures. Documents the results in an evaluation report.</li><li>Disassembles, repairs, or rebuilds returned goods as directed.</li><li>Perform in-house calibration of selected test and measurement tools and equipment.</li><li>Perform internal product, process, and system audits.</li><li>Assist with finished product certification activities.</li><li>When requested, assist and support manufacturing personnel and activities.</li><li>Performs inspection on returned goods and products and assists in customer complaint investigations.</li><li>Drafts Corrective Action Requests (CARs), *d, or other similar Quality documents with input and review from Supervisor.</li></ul>LEVEL A:<ul><li>Completes Quality documents such as Corrective Action Reports, "8-D's" to document investigation and resolution of Quality      issues independently with minimal or no Supervisory input or review.</li><li>Assist Level C and B inspectors in various tasks as requested.</li></ul>RequirementsSkills and AttributesLEVEL C:<ul><li>Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.</li><li>Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.</li><li>Ability to write reports. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and determine if products are conforming to specifications.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.</li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.</li><li>Ability to use database software, manufacturing software and spreadsheet software.</li><li>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.</li><li>Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</li><li>Knowledge and use of standard test and measurement tools and equipment including hand tools.</li></ul>LEVEL B:<ul><li>The ability to troubleshoot returned goods and determined root cause of failure.</li></ul>LEVEL A:<ul><li>Ability to work independently on the handling of QA related non-conformances.</li><li>Ability to present findings in written and verbal format.</li></ul>   Education and ExperienceLEVEL C:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience in an industrial environment.</li></ul>LEVEL B: <ul><li>Must have 2 years' experience in a manufacturing industrial environment.</li></ul>LEVEL A:<ul><li>2-year degree in manufacturing related field such as Manufacturing Technology, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering,</li></ul>Safety and Personal Protective Equipment<ul><li>Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location.</li><li>Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.</li></ul>
