You will be playing a vital role in ensuring process capability, stability, inline process quality test, continuous improvement, and quality metrics and reporting. Drive scrap reduction initiatives and developing data infrastructure to enhance traceability within MES, including vendor evaluation and system integration.</li><li>Inline Process Quality Testing : Design and implement inline quality tests (in-situ and ex-situ) to provide rapid feedback on product integrity. Minimize the movement of defective builds through proactive detection and response.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying root causes, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and promoting quality ownership across teams.</li><li>Quality Metrics &amp; Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics. Deliver regular performance reports highlighting trends, gaps, and actionable insights to drive improvement.</li></ul> Skills You’ll Need: <ul><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on transitioning technologies from R&amp;D to production.</li><li>Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating requirements and timelines in cross-functional R&amp;D environments.</li><li>Proven problem-solving capabilities with a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Proficient in core Quality Engineering tools: Measurement System Analysis, Gage R&amp;R, SPC, Process Control Plans, SOPs, Traceability Systems, and Process Capability Analysis.</li><li>Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution, shifting seamlessly between big-picture thinking and detailed analysis.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.  </li><li>Disciplined approach to statistical methods for experiment design, data analysis, and process control.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in evaluating Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and conducting cost-benefit analyses to support data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Skilled in applying Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodologies to identify and resolve process bottlenecks.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with MES systems and quality management system requirements; experienced in developing and implementing control plan methodologies.</li></ul>  Nice to have: <ul><li>Experience with JMP or similar data analysis tools preferred.</li><li>ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.</li><li>Industry experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing strongly preferred.</li></ul> ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&amp;D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.  Compensation &amp; Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $81,400 to $130,200, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background.
