We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help develop our MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) platform for agricultural carbon sequestration.&nbsp; Beyond carbon, our foundation model also delivers useful insights about multiple, critical agricultural parameters (e.g., plant growth). You will work within our distributed engineering team under the supervision of the Engineering Lead. This role is remote and requires US residency.<h2>About Recover Ag</h2>Recover Ag is an early-stage, mission-driven technology company dedicated to providing farmers with the information they need to thrive financially and personally while implementing farm management practices that promote a healthy ecosystem. We are developing a platform that harnesses the latest advances in remote sensing and artificial intelligence to measure with high accuracy and low cost the impact of farming practices on ecosystem health. We have demonstrated the ability of our platform to quantify change in soil carbon stocks with superior accuracy at lower cost than current measurement systems. We are extending the platform to measure other agricultural parameters including plant water and nutrient stress.To demonstrate the capabilities of our platform, we are partnering with the Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative to launch a carbon farming project with growers of permanent crops (grapes, tree nuts) in California. The coop manages outreach to growers. Recover Ag measures carbon stock change, manages regulatory and financial compliance requirements for carbon credit issuance, negotiates long-term purchase agreements with credit buyers, creates and tracks credit portfolio performance, and monitors project fields long-term to ensure the durability of carbon removal. Most of the revenue from CDR credit sales will be returned to growers. We provide a web application that project participants use to identify the fields where they are implementing carbon-storing practices, and where carbon removal credit buyers can monitor the performance of their portfolio.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Own the entire web application platform - Make decisions that shape how we scale, from front-end components to back-end functions, from database queries to CI pipelines.</li><li>Transform data and ML predictions into user experiences - Build data visualizations, integrate model outputs, and create interfaces that deliver values to our users.</li><li>Collaborate across disciplines - Understand data and model outputs, pair-program to share knowledge, and write clear documentation.</li><li>Optimize for performance and cost - Optimize to make every second and dollar count, and celebrate performance improvements and cost reductions.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications We're Looking for</h2>Must-haves:<ul><li>2+ years building production web applications</li><li>Proficiency in TypeScript and React skills&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with AWS serverless technologies</li><li>SST or CDK experience</li><li>Git and AI-assisted development</li><li>Clear (technical) communication</li><li>Self-directed but collaborative&nbsp;</li><li>Genuine interest in climate tech and learning about carbon sequestration</li></ul>Nice-to-haves:<ul><li>Data visualization expertise (D3.js, Recharts, Plotly)</li><li>GIS/mapping tools (Leaflet, GeoJSON)</li><li>Python, R&nbsp;</li><li>Experience building CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Experience integrating large datasets and ML model outputs into production applications</li></ul><h2>What to Expect Working at Recover Ag</h2>Your typical week will balance deep work with collaborative learning.
