This position is hybrid and located in Hungary.What You Will Do<ul><li>The Regional Payroll Specialist is responsible for the administration of the daily EMEA payroll operations and accuracy of the payroll data to process regular and off-cycle payrolls for EMEA and other locations.  You will manage end-to-end payroll processes including data collection, consolidation, payroll processing, checking, payment, pay slips arrangement, reporting etc. for the region.</li><li>Serve as the Regional Payroll Specialist for colleagues and primary point of contact for regional payroll processing matters.</li><li>Support payroll processing for different countries.</li><li>Handling legal deductions (sending out answers and notification to employees)</li><li>Absence issues, vacation reconciliation (HR System vs. Payroll), annual leave balance modifications</li><li>Checking monthly payroll (overtime, commute to work, sick-leaves, tax allowances, legal deductions).</li><li>Checking mid-month payments and reviewing gross to net calculations.</li><li>Fringe benefit related coordination in cooperation with outsourced external partner.</li><li>Administrating of maternity leave cases.</li><li>Preparing ad hoc employment certifications</li><li>Manage activities in systems/applications, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, and ADP Streamline with accuracy.</li><li>Monitor payroll interfaces, identify, and help resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Manage and audit social benefits contribution, withholding tax, income tax filing, and other payroll downstream processes.</li><li>Partnership with local HRBP’s, Finance team, and HRIS system team to ensure smooth payroll processing.</li><li>Ensure payroll processing is compliant with local labor and tax legislation, social benefits regulations and all other statutory laws and policies.</li><li>Ensure all required controls are documented and executed to meet the internal/external audit requirements.</li><li>Validate time entries and perform variance analysis.</li><li>Confirm and verify all payroll data, including deductions, taxes, and variances.</li><li>Plays a key role in payroll projects and supports optimization implementations.</li><li>Provide data, reports and supporting documentation for internal and external audit.</li><li>Work with internal and external partners on all payroll related initiatives and engagements.</li><li>Provide accurate payroll journals and support for all payroll General Ledger accounts.</li><li>Printing, scanning, tracking of payroll documents.</li><li>Archiving of payroll documents as per Record Retention Schedule</li><li>Assists with system updates and testing.</li><li>Assist and support additional projects as assigned.</li></ul>What You BringRequired:<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience with Payroll, HR, Accounting, or other related experience.</li><li>High energy, results-oriented, self-starter with excellent time and project management skills.</li><li>Experience with excel utilizing pivot tables, v-lookups, graphs, charts, etc.</li><li>Goal driven, self-motivated, organized, multi-tasker, committed to excellence.</li><li>Look for improvements continuously, displays initiative to help wherever necessary.</li><li>Effective collaboration skills with team members and third-party vendors.</li><li>Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work with little supervision,</li><li>Strong acumen for financial controls and compliance with laws and policies.</li><li>Knowledge of labor regulations, social benefits, taxation rules of European countries.</li><li>Fluent written and spoken English, and additional language skills are beneficial.</li><li>Ability to find root causes of problems and to focus on their quick and efficient solution.</li><li>Excellent customer service &amp; communication skills.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Experience with Workday HCM and Timekeeping, ADP Streamline, and SAP.</li></ul>#LI-SZ1Benefits of Joining Albemarle<ul><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package</li><li>A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.</li></ul>Choose to unlock your full POTENTIAL.
