This role involves conducting procurement analyses, performing data analysis, and developing and implementing procurement plans. The Procurement Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to address procurement issues, perform cost analysis, and implement cost-saving measures. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring procurement staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:</div><div><ul><li>Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to execute Purchase Order to vendors and follow up on delivery schedule, with constructive order management approach.</li><li>Conduct spend funnel for direct and indirect materials on a regular basis, with developed metrics and dashboards.</li><li>Ensure proper maintenance of master data in ERP.</li><li>Support SAP Global Requirements and Assist with Data Prep across regions.</li><li>Complete procurement reporting, decks when required.</li><li>Analyse inventory reports and be responsible to monitor inventory replenishment process.</li><li>Ensure that all purchasing activities are compliant with the Procurement procedures and policies.</li><li>Analyse spending on suppliers and identify opportunities to achieve saving target. </li><li>Proactively investigate continuous improvement on procurement processes.</li><li>Support on various Procurement and improvement initiatives.</li><li>Assist in logistics arrangement when necessary.</li><li>Conduct and track key supplier performance, maintaining long-lasting relationships partnerships with existing suppliers.</li><li>Execute and drive supplier sustainability projects and reports to support responsible sourcing.</li><li>Define and execute sourcing plans in accordance with strategic sourcing methodology in launching RFQ and RFP process for direct and indirect procurement.</li><li>Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.</li><li>Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.</li><li>Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.</li><li>Providing solutions to improve and maintain vendor management resulting in the rationalisation and harmonisation of the supply base.</li><li>Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.</li><li>Support XGP requirements and form central point for Africa XGP process.</li><li>Manage GEP projects, contracts and pricing.</li><li>Develop Systems and Processes for Procurement and Associated Trade Compliance Processes.</li><li>Lead Procurement Pillar in Xylem XPS.</li></ul></div><div> Minimum Requirements:</div><div><ul><li>Minimum Diploma with Supply Chain / Business or related field.</li><li>Completed Degree / Diploma in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.</li><li>CPIM/CSCP/ APICS Related Qualification.</li><li>10 Years Solid Experience in Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)</li><li>5 Years Proven experience in international sourcing processes.</li><li>Experience working with suppliers and conduct supplier evaluation will be an advantage.</li></ul></div><div>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Proficiency in SAP ERP including MRP and Master Data.</li><li>A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills.</li><li>Sound time-management and organizational skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge in iScala will be an advantage.</li><li>Possess continuous improvement mindset.</li><li>A good team player with good analytical thinking, meticulous and follow up skills.</li><li>Initiative-taking and able to work independently under fast-paced environment.</li><li>Able to work independently, must multitask under minimal supervision.</li></ul></div>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
