If you're passionate about automotive innovation and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Utilize CATIA V6 to design foundation brakes and hydraulic distribution hardware, ensuring 2D drawings adhere to mass production standards, complete with relevant GD&amp;T.</li><li>Develop and maintain thorough technical specifications for the brake system through collaboration with suppliers and internal Zoox teams.</li><li>Assess the static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical performance of mechanical assemblies to optimize functionality.</li><li>Lead component testing and characterization efforts, develop test methodologies, and conduct thorough data analysis to aid in root-causing issues.</li><li>Partner with suppliers to oversee design management, documentation, and the execution of engineering disciplines to ensure timely component deliveries.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or at least 3 years of equivalent engineering experience</li><li>Experience designing stamped, cast, machined, and/or plastic injection molded components for mass production.</li><li>Familiarity with CATIA V6 for modeling and drawing creation and package verification.</li><li>Experience with foundation brake and hydraulic distribution hardware designs &amp; validation methods</li><li>Experience interfacing/managing suppliers through the product development life cycle.</li><li>Knowledge of automotive program development, release processes, and long-term schedule planning</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Experience at automotive OEM or significant Tier 1</li><li>Polarion, Jira, and Confluence experience.</li><li>Simulink software proficiency and hydraulic system modeling</li><li>Some experience in vehicle engineering, chassis systems design, and component delivery</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
