If you're ready to make a difference and push the boundaries of what's possible, Zoox is waiting for you!</span></div><br><br><h3>In this role, you will:</h3><ul><li>Conceptualize, design (2D and 3D), and lead the development and release of vehicle chassis components and assemblies (Subframe, knuckle, Control Arm, Bushings, Driveline, Wheels/Tires) to meet cost, weight, and performance requirements </li><li>Develop short and long-term schedules/plans for component development</li><li>Define and negotiate requirements and specifications for the vehicle structure, including DFMEAs, DVP’s and PVP’s, APQP</li><li>Support validation testing for component/vehicle </li><li>Support material and manufacturing process decisions, both internally and externally</li><li>Work cross-functionally and collaborate with peers, CAE/test teams, management, manufacturing, suppliers</li></ul><h3>Qualifications </h3><ul><li>B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering degree</li><li>10+ years of experience in chassis design/engineering </li><li>Knowledge and experience in vehicle engineering, chassis systems design, engineering fundamentals (strength &amp; fatigue analysis techniques related to vehicle structure), and component delivery</li><li>Understanding of structural materials, manufacturing, and joining methods: aluminum extrusions/castings, steel/aluminum sheet metal, plastic components, adhesive, welding, SPR, FDS, rivets, and bolts</li><li>Experience with the development of specifications, DFMEAs, DVP’s and PVP’s, APQP, and other technical and quality assurance processes </li><li>Proficiency with CATIA V5 or V6 CAD software</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Patents awarded</li><li>Experience at an automotive OEM</li><li>Experience with Polarion, Jira, and/or Confluence </li><li>Experience performing CAE or CAE Analysis</li></ul><br><div><b>About Zoox</b></div><div>Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market.
