In this role, you’ll be the central hub for coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring that our equipment stays reliable, safe, and efficient at both our Fremont and Delhi facilities. You’ll work closely with Fertilizer Production Technicians, the R&amp;D team, and site leadership to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.As our Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance at both plant(s) to help ensure that our reactors, pumps, tanks, and other production equipment are operating at peak performance. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Coordinate and prioritize corrective maintenance tasks based on urgency and production impact</li><li>Kitting of maintenance jobs prior to their start to reduce delays</li><li>Collaborate with production technicians to identify recurring issues and plan long-term solutions</li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts usage</li><li>Coordinate and interface with external maintenance contractors as needed</li><li>Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations</li><li>Adjust plans and schedules in real-time to respond to equipment failures or production changes</li><li>The work is in shifts: M-F, 0800-1700</li><li>Location: Fremont, California</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate degree or higher in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience as a maintenance mechanic</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing or chemical plant</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination skills</li><li>Familiarity with NFPA code, including NFPA 70</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a startup environment</li><li>Comfortable working around chemical processing equipment and wearing appropriate PPE</li><li>Ability to wear a respirator and lift heavy equipment when needed</li><li>Forklift or scissor lift experience is a plus</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Team-oriented with good communication skills</li><li>Willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Compensation: $40- $50</li><li>3 weeks of paid vacation</li><li>7 company holidays and 4 floating holidays</li><li>Medical and Dental insurance</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>401 (k) plan with matching</li></ul>
