We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.</p></div><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p> Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain productive relationships with suppliers harvesting Enviva stumpage tracts</li><li>Identify and purchase tracts of standing timber to meet company harvesting objectives</li><li>Develop and maintain productive relationships with loggers harvesting Enviva stumpage tracts</li><li>Uphold and maintain positive representation of Enviva’s values with suppliers and within the local industry and community</li><li>Maintain intimate knowledge of stumpage logger operating capacity, and work in conjunction to maximize harvest production while balancing costs/weather/tract/market factors</li><li>Perform required forestry / sustainability / certification related field audits</li><li>Perform stumpage tract related field work (mark boundary lines, collect and monitor delivery tickets and log books, ensure adequate logging best practices during harvest, address access road and miscellaneous landowner concerns, occasional timber tract cruising, etc)</li><li>Manage and monitor product merchandising &amp; marketing on stumpage tracts to meet/exceed tract purchase goals</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>3+ year experience buying / selling timber and managing logging crews in the forest products industry</li><li>An associates / bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is <em>preferred</em>, with a focus in forestry and / or business administration</li><li>Proficiency in solid mathematical skills</li><li>Working knowledge of forestry, logging best practices, chipping operations</li><li>Ability to work safely in remote outdoor environments and around heavy equipment</li><li>Willingness to travel, with occasional overnight stays required</li><li>A valid driver’s license</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills to support developing and maintaining supplier relationships</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel</li><li>Humble – open to receiving constructive feedback for continuous improvement, quick to point out the contributions of others, shares credit</li><li>Hungry – Self-motivated and diligent, confident working alone, constantly thinking about the next step and the next opportunity to help the team succeed, willing to step outside of area of direct responsibility to get the job done, focuses on achieving results / outcomes</li><li>People Smart – Interpersonally appropriate and aware – demonstrate good judgment and intuition around the subtleties of group dynamics and the impact of words and actions</li></ul><p><span>This position is not eligible for visa support.</span></p><p><span>#LI-AL1</span></p><div><p>This position is not eligible for visa support.</p><p><strong>EEO Statement </strong></p><p>Enviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
