At Heart Aerospace, we are developing the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane capable of carrying 30 passengers, boasting an electric zero-emission range of 200 km and an extended hybrid range of 800 km. Heart is targeting type certification of the ES-30 by the end of the decade.Your missionWe are looking for extraordinary students who want to join the Flight Systems team. As an intern, you will support the integration, verification, and validation of avionics, propulsion, and aircraft control systems for the ES-30 program. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply classroom learning and extracurricular project experience to a real-world aerospace program. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Assist in the integration of avionics, propulsion, and flight control systems into the aircraft platform. </li><li>Hands-on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and lab bench integration testing. </li><li>Contribute to troubleshooting, data analysis, and root cause investigations of integration issues. </li><li>Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to debug and verify system-level functionality. </li></ul>You'll Bring These Qualifications:<ul><li>Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. </li><li>Strong extracurricular experience such as Formula SAE, Rocketry, CubeSat, AIAA Design/Build/Fly, UAV teams, or equivalent hands-on projects. </li><li>Programming skills (e.g., Python, Rust, C/C++ or other). </li><li>Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. </li><li>Available to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February or March 2026.</li></ul>These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:<ul><li>Experience with system integration testing, HIL/SIL test environments, or lab bench instrumentation. </li><li>Passion for aviation, electrification, and sustainable technologies. </li></ul>What We Offer:<ul><li>A chance to contribute to the world’s first regional electric aircraft. </li><li>Hands-on experience in flight systems integration and aerospace engineering. </li><li>Mentorship from experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment. </li><li>A workplace where your extracurricular experience is valued and applied to real-world engineering challenges. </li></ul><div>Pay Range: </div><div>$28/HR-$40/HR (USD)</div>
