<div>    <p><strong>Advert Close date: 23rd September 2025</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><h2>Assistant Development Manager at The Crown Estate</h2><p><br></p><h3>Purpose of Role</h3><p>The Crown Estate is seeking a proactive and collaborative Assistant Development Manager to support the Development Director and Senior Development Manager in delivering high-value reinvigoration projects. This role contributes to the achievement of financial, social, and environmental targets aligned with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) strategy and The Crown Estate’s Value Creation Framework. You will manage multiple workstreams across the development pipeline, ensuring cost, value, and programme targets are met.</p><h3>Context of Opportunity / Main Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Support the delivery of 2 development projects, progressing them through gateway processes and programme milestones.</li><li>Contribute to quarterly business plan targets and maximise value across financial, social, and environmental dimensions.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external teams across commercial, infrastructure, energy, financial modelling, and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Monitor budgets and ensure cost and value targets are achieved.</li><li>Maintain project documentation and governance, including Professional Services Agreements and cost forecasts.</li><li>Promote innovation in placemaking, sustainability, digital integration, and social impact.</li><li>Manage specific stakeholder relationships and support third-party negotiations.</li><li>Work closely with functions such as Health &amp; Safety, Sustainability, and Communications to align with strategic goals.</li><li>Apply principles of agility, empowerment, and customer focus to drive project success.</li><li>Ensure timely risk management and escalation when required.</li></ul><h3>Most Important Skills-Based Requirements</h3><ul><li>Experience in development appraisals and feasibility analysis to identify viable opportunities.</li><li>Strong communication skills, including governance reporting and documentation.</li><li>Experience across mixed-use assets, particularly residential and commercial projects (desirable).</li><li>Familiarity with delivering projects through RIBA stages within defined budgets and timelines.</li><li>Relevant qualification in Real Estate, Surveying, Engineering, or Architecture.</li><li>Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes in large-scale development.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and diplomacy.</li><li>Knowledge of London’s town planning environment and legal requirements for development.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.</li><li>Passion for placemaking and sustainable design, with agility to respond to evolving customer needs.</li></ul><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Our Offering / benefits:</strong></p><p>As well as a competitive salary, pension and performance related bonus offering, we have a wealth of benefits available ranging from flexible working; market leading family policies and shopping discounts in the West End, to private healthcare; life and critical illness cover and 28 days holiday with the option to buy more.
