AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Air Quality Permitting Engineer to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Air Quality Compliance team in the Bay Area. The primary emphasis of the group is to support clients with their air quality and regulatory compliance needs for a variety of industrial, federal, and municipal, and private-sector clients.The Air Quality Permitting Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships; managing complex environmental compliance projects and programs; and mentoring and developing junior air quality staff.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing clients in California, particularly the San Francisco Bay Area, and along the West Coast, as well as the ability to utilize his or her air quality experience to help our clients navigate their environmental compliance challenges.Qualified candidates will have excellent analytical, writing, presentation and managerial skills, with a background in air quality and Bay Area Air District permitting and compliance.Please note: This position is contingent on AECOM contract award.The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Supporting EHS business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance work with existing and new clients.</li><li>Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to enhance client retention and growth.</li><li>Managing projects which include preparation air permitting, air emission inventories, ambient air sampling, and other air quality compliance projects</li><li>Research, review, and analyze air quality policy and regulations.</li><li>Support regulatory compliance tasks relating to air quality</li><li>Mentoring junior staff and leading project teams for environmental compliance work.</li></ul>About AECOM’s Environment Business Line Join AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world.
