<div> Job Details <div>Level:    Experienced</div> <div>Job Location:    Visalia Office - Visalia, CA</div> <div>Salary Range:    $32.03 - $42.31 Hourly</div> </div>DescriptionGeneral:<ul><li>Responsible for working with Project Managers to develop and maintain multiple project budgets, forecasting future costs and identifying potential costs overruns.</li><li>Analyzing project expenses incurred, including labor, materials and overhead costs to ensure accuracy of expense coding.</li><li>Analyzing project expenses to evaluate areas for cost savings (ie. Vendor contracts, bulk purchasing, etc.)</li><li>Preparation of detailed financial reports on project performance, including profit and loss statements, variance analysis and key metrics on a monthly basis.</li><li>Reviewing project contracts and ensuring proper revenue recognition and determination of all financial obligations.</li><li>Investigating and explaining significant deviations from project budgets and providing process improvements for corrective actions.</li><li>Assisting in the calculation of annual target labor rates and analyzing estimates to actuals on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Providing feedback to sales and contract negotiation team members on budget line items needing cost updates.</li><li>Assist in preparation of Board reporting and analysis, as requested for Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and / or Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”).</li><li>Commissions calculation and reporting, on a monthly basis.</li><li>Serve as Acumatica Project Module subject matter expert and aid in training of other departments in use of the system.</li><li>Support of internal and external customer inquiries.</li><li>Drives the formulation, analysis, and execution of CalCom Energy project budgeting procedures and processes.</li><li>Assist with the annual insurance renewals, annual financial audit, and budget preparation with the CFO.</li><li>Perform other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by Vice President of Construction, CFO, CEO.</li></ul>Qualifications Required:<ul><li>4-6 years work experience in a Project Accountant, Project Controller, Financial Planning &amp; Analyst, Cost Accountant, or similar role. Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.</li><li>ERP Accounting system experience required.</li><li>Experience with project management software.</li><li>Extremely strong MS Office skills – MUST be intermediate to advance in MS Excel.</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP accounting (ASC 606 included).</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting processes (A/R, A/P, and General Ledger).</li><li>Excellent written/oral communication skills.</li><li>Strong analytical skills to identify trends and interpret financial data. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain best in class practices with an eye toward automation and continuous improvement to drive efficiency.</li><li>Ability to work independently, as well as with a team, to prioritize tasks.</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines accurately and consistently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.</li><li>Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.</li></ul> Preferred:<ul><li>Construction or solar industry experience</li><li>Strong cost accounting experience</li><li>Managing FP&amp;A processes</li><li>Acumatica experience</li><li>ESOP experience</li></ul>
