Ensure compliance with industry standards and support cross-functional teams in manufacturing and quality assurance.</p><h2></h2><h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2><p>Duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>Design and implement welding and brazing procedures for various materials.</li><li>Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Brazing Procedure Specifications (BPS).</li><li>Select appropriate filler materials, fluxes, and shielding gases.</li><li>Optimize heat input, joint design, and fixturing for repeatable results.</li><li>Conduct procedure qualification tests (PQRs) and ensure compliance with industry standards (AWS, ASME, ISO).</li><li>Perform metallurgical evaluations and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as radiography, ultrasonic, and dye penetrant.</li><li>Analyze microstructures and joint integrity post-weld/braze.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of welding and brazing activities, including inspection reports and traceability logs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal specifications and external regulatory standards.</li><li>Support audits and customer reviews with technical documentation.</li><li>Work with design and M&amp;P engineers to ensure manufacturability of joints.</li><li>Support production teams with troubleshooting and training.</li><li>Interface with suppliers for material and equipment qualification.</li><li>Lead root cause investigations for weld/braze-related defects.</li><li>Implement corrective actions and process improvements.</li><li>Drive cost reduction and cycle time improvements through process innovation.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Supervisory Responsibilities</h2><p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><h2></h2><h2>Education and/or Experience:</h2><p>Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or related field and 5-7 years of experience.
