We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.<h2>Overview</h2><p>Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate Production Technician II/III to join our powertrain and electronics team and help build flight-critical components for our VTOL electric aircraft. The Joby Aviation team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a very fast-paced and rewarding environment. Come help us build advanced electrical powertrains as we make a mark in the transportation industry.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Adhere to Joby’s safety procedures and protocol. </li> <li>Build a variety of early-phase pilot and production aircraft parts. </li> <li>Assemble data for the aircraft parts in our manufacturing execution system (MES). </li> <li>Learn and then apply skills through on-the-job (OTJ) training. </li> <li>Work independently once tasks are assigned and be flexible with priorities provided daily. </li> <li>Maintain cleanliness in the work area using manufacturing 5S best practices.  </li> <li>Be able to follow instructions and think critically. </li> <li>Run trials for new products and processes. </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional people to ensure we meet our shared goals as a team.  </li> <li>Provide feedback and document issues found during manufacturing to drive solutions and process improvements. </li> <li>Participate in the validation of new processes. </li> <li>Teardown parts when rework or repair is necessary. </li> <li>Participate in the investigation of quality defects and test failures.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent. </li> <li>Work Shift is Mon-Fri 7:30am-6pm </li> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience. </li> <li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of work. </li> <li>Motivated to support the company’s mission.  </li> <li>Able to operate multiple equipment per SOP and basic hand tools (electric and manual). </li> <li>Strong work ethic. </li> <li>Able to adapt to sudden changes in daily priorities.  </li> <li>Team oriented attitude. </li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li> <li>Excellent problem-solving techniques and analytical ability. </li> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to daily plans.  </li> <li>Able to lift 25-35 lbs twice per hour and perform repetitive tasks. </li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Previous experience working in manufacturing, repair, or service. </li> <li>Experience with bills of material (BOM) and/or manufacturing execution systems (MES). </li> <li>Experience being a trainee in on-the-job (OTJ) training. </li> <li>Experience with light industrial environments. </li> <li>Experience working on high-voltage systems. </li> <li>Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies. </li> <li>Experience writing and following manufacturing procedures. </li> <li>Experience in basic wiring and diagnostics. </li> <li>IPC J-STD, 610 certification. </li> <li>Atlassian Jira, First Resonance Ion experience. </li> <li>Experience in lean manufacturing. </li></ul><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $23 - $31 per hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
