We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.<h2>Overview</h2><p>Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate individual to join our Ground Support Equipment Team. As part of this team you will be working on the development of charging and thermal conditioning systems for VTOL electric aircraft. Work will include the assembly and testing of prototypes at our San Carlos, California facility and the installation and maintenance of equipment at our flight test facility in Marina, California and ultimately all over the world.  The projects will be dynamic, fast paced, and well funded.  </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Electro-mechanical system assembly and testing</li> <li>Installation, upgrading, troubleshooting and repair of field systems</li> <li>Collaboration with design engineers, test engineers, other technicians, operations and site construction staff</li> <li>Work from P&amp;IDs, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions for the above projects.  Give feedback, redline and improve documentation using your expertise.</li> <li>Procure hardware from suppliers and work independently when in the field</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Associates degree in a technical field with consideration for people with equivalent on the job training and experience</li> <li>7+ years of relevant work experience </li> <li>Strong problem solving skills</li> <li>Excellent part fabrication, installation, wiring, fastening and labeling craftsmanship</li> <li>Experience in a machine shop and electronics lab environment</li> <li>A team-player attitude and the ability to work with many different people and manage working relationships</li> <li>Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and efficient manner</li> <li>Ability to travel domestically &amp; internationally (up to 30%)</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of hourly base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
