This role will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive data-driven decision making across our generation, transmission, and customer operations. The successful candidate will work with large-scale energy datasets to optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and support our renewable energy initiatives. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis &amp; Modeling<ul><li>Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions to solve complex business problems across generation, transmission, and distribution operations</li><li>Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of data-driven initiatives</li><li>Create forecasting models for energy demand, renewable generation, and market conditions</li></ul>Enterprise Data Solutions<ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data monetization and operational optimization</li><li>Build scalable data pipelines and automated analytical workflows using cloud-based platforms</li><li>Develop dashboards and visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels</li></ul>Strategic Analytics<ul><li>Support strategic initiatives related to renewable energy expansion, grid modernization, and customer programs</li><li>Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy</li><li>Partner with engineering teams to optimize power plant operations and maintenance schedules</li></ul>Data Governance &amp; Quality<ul><li>Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements</li><li>Contribute to enterprise data standards and best practices</li><li>Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings for reproducibility and knowledge sharing</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis</li><li>Experience with machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)</li><li>Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)</li><li>Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design</li><li>Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)</li></ul>Domain Knowledge<ul><li>Understanding of energy markets, grid operations, or renewable energy systems preferred</li><li>Knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting techniques</li><li>Experience with IoT sensor data, SCADA systems, or industrial datasets a plus</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with distributed computing platforms (Spark, Hadoop)</li><li>Knowledge of optimization techniques and operations research</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the energy industry (FERC, NERC, etc.)</li><li>Experience with A/B testing and causal inference methods</li><li>Background in power systems engineering or energy economics</li></ul>
