A key priority is driving alignment across regions, accelerating the close process, and ensuring high-quality data that underpins financial, tax, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who thrives on improving processes, building capability, and instilling a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Key ResponsibilitiesClose Process Oversight &amp; Monitoring<ul><li>Design and implement a global framework to monitor the end-to-end close process, identifying all key steps and dependencies.</li><li>Drive standardisation and alignment across regional processes to improve efficiency and reduce close timelines.</li><li>Establish and enforce consistent inputs from other teams to improve the accuracy and reliability of close activities.</li><li>Identify where accounting policies are required and ensure these are developed, communicated, and embedded.</li><li>Provide analysis and insights to the Close &amp; Reporting GPO and other senior stakeholders as required.</li></ul> Leadership &amp; Team Development<ul><li>Lead and develop the EMEA Close &amp; Reporting team, setting a high standard for integrity, motivation, and collaboration.</li><li>Foster a culture of open communication, constructive challenge, and continuous learning.</li><li>Build team capability through targeted training, mentoring, and career development initiatives.</li></ul> Controls &amp; Governance<ul><li>Partner with the Controls &amp; Governance team to ensure appropriate financial controls are embedded in daily operations.</li><li>Support the design and rollout of new ways of working to strengthen risk management and compliance across monthly close activities.</li></ul> Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis<ul><li>Oversee the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.</li><li>Build mechanisms to capture high-quality data at entry, enabling robust analysis and insight.</li><li>Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for both P&amp;L and balance sheet.</li></ul> Stakeholder &amp; Auditor Engagement<ul><li>Establish strong professional relationships across the global finance function, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders.</li><li>Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, ensuring the integrity and transparency of reporting processes.</li></ul> Data &amp; Systems<ul><li>Collaborate on the design of future-state close and reporting processes, identifying data and system requirements to drive efficiency and scalability.</li><li>Ensure core transactional and accounting data is accurate, complete, and reliable for use in tax and regulatory reporting.</li></ul> Experience &amp; CompetenciesEssential<ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive year of PQE.</li><li>Significant experience in the financial services sector.</li><li>Proven leadership and line management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.</li><li>Demonstrated success in driving change, improving processes, and accelerating close cycles.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging at all levels including senior executives.</li><li>Demonstrated and proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across regions and functions.</li><li>Highly resilient, self-motivated, and outcome-focused, with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.</li></ul> Desired<ul><li>Proficiency with financial applications such as Oracle, Excel, SmartView/ASO, Hubble, and Onestream.</li><li>Experience of finance systems implementation or transformation initiatives.</li></ul> Band &amp; Level <ul><li>Manager / 7</li></ul>#LI-MID #LI-Hybrid <h1></h1>Not The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
