Our generation portfolio is more than 95% renewable and includes 9 wind farms, 3 solar farms, 2 grid scale batteries and 2 fast-start peakers.About the RoleThe Business Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting, management reporting and tax reporting obligations of Iberdrola Australia.We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Accounting professional who is looking for their next opportunity to be involved in a wide variety Accounting, Reporting &amp; Tax activities in a supportive environment.Management Reporting:<ul><li>Prepare month end management reporting including revenue analysis, P&amp;L, personnel costs and capex</li><li>Budget and forecasting of opex cost centres and capex projects</li><li>Assist with system improvements and/or implementations relating to management reporting</li><li>Continuous improvement of existing processes and reporting</li><li>Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis</li></ul>Accounting and Financial Reporting:<ul><li>Support in the maintenance of general ledger for Iberdrola Australia’s corporate entities and development project entities</li><li>Assist with both local and head office monthly reporting</li><li>Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of a strong financial control environment, process improvements and system enhancement initiatives</li></ul>Tax:Assist with tax reporting obligations where required, which may include:<ul><li>Monthly GST Returns for various entities.</li><li>Monthly Payroll tax</li><li>Yearly FBT Returns.</li><li>Yearly Income Tax returns for various entities.</li><li>Administration of the companies various ATO tax portals.</li><li>Administration of the company’s various tax groups.</li></ul>Other<ul><li>As well as having your own areas of responsibility within the finance team, there is an expectation that you will be available to assist with various projects and ad-hoc requests when required.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Finance, or other relevant discipline.</li><li>Post-degree qualification (CA or CPA)</li><li>SQL or Power BI / Power Query would be advantageous.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Good written and verbal communication</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Well organised, pro-active self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects, including ad hoc requests</li><li>A team player and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision</li><li>Stakeholder management skills</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul>Preferences May be Given to Candidates with the Following:<ul><li>Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or SAP</li><li>Knowledge of energy market and industry</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Power BI</li></ul>Type of Job<ul><li>Full time</li></ul>Other:<ul><li>As a worker, you must comply so far as reasonably practicable, with any reasonable instruction that is given by Iberdrola Australia to comply with health and safety requirements.</li></ul>Join Iberdrola Australia today!Mobility InformationPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that country.Job Posting End Date:September-26-2025
