<div> Job Details <div>Job Location:    ABQ Main Office - Albuquerque, NM</div> <div>Salary Range:    Undisclosed</div> </div>DescriptionPosition:    Project DirectorSupervisor:    VP, Project ExecutionClassification:    Salaried Exempt  SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONEstablish and maintain successful customer and/or community relationships<ul><li>Conduct key customer/stakeholder visits throughout the project, from pre-construction to close-out, ensuring that you are sticking to project commitments and resolving any issues in a timely manner</li><li>Negotiate contracts and change orders with support of legal and project management teams</li><li>Act as customer executive contact for all assigned projects</li><li>Deliver a positive customer experience that drives follow on business</li><li>Support business development initiatives in establishing and building on client relationships</li><li>Preview proposals before submission and participate in Request for Proposal process</li></ul>Oversight and accountability for projects<ul><li>Overall accountability for project schedule, safety and budget</li><li>Establish and implement project objective and procedures</li><li>Set strategic direction for project including subcontract vs self-perform decisions</li><li>Lad team to develop conceptual, preconstruction and construction phase project schedules and cost estimates leveraging existing industry knowledge and experience</li><li>Present project budgets, costs, and pricing, ensuring delivery of a profitable project.</li></ul>Provide leadership to project team<ul><li>Lead and manage the project management and construction management team assigned to projects</li><li>Mentor and lead team members, establishing and fostering team environment </li><li>Forecast resource needs and proactively hire for those needs</li><li>Develop team members for future career consideration and training opportunities</li></ul>Other duties as assigned<ul><li>Provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members</li><li>Use the appropriate level of forethought and planning in decision-making to ensure project success</li><li>Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels</li><li>Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage</li><li>Overall accountability for the success of projects</li></ul>How will you succeed?<ul><li>Being able to manage across multiple project teams to ensure the success of each portfolio</li><li>Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks</li><li>Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills</li><li>Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input, new ideas and feedback</li><li>Ability to travel to project sites and home office intermittently</li></ul>Qualifications Education and experience requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in relevant field</li><li>Minimum 10 years experience in construction management overseeing large projects </li><li>Experience taking conceptual design through construction, working with internal and external partners</li><li>Current driver’s license</li></ul>
