We are searching for an Engineering and Project Execution Director to join our team! The Director is responsible for the Mechanical Design and Automation Software &amp; Electrical along with the project management of pass-through orders, as part of the Order Execution unit of the Pharma North America. It includes new equipment and large service orders. It will be his/her responsibility to plan the resources of the Engineering and Project Management group and deliver the related portion of projects according to the budget, schedule, scope and specifications. The Director EPED will also make sure that cost estimates and sales support for the Business Units is provided and technical direction based on current technology trends is given.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures clear assignment of work to staff for presale and project execution.</li><li>Develop and manage external resources to cope with business work overload, utilizing GEA India and subcontractors.</li><li>Work out a measuring instrument to track the progress of deliverables on projects specific basis (incl. hours spent / required)</li><li>Maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet budgeted utilization, scheduling overtime as needed and determines priorities within the departments in the case that it is required.</li><li>Works with GEA Global Design Team and the Core Technology Centers (CTCs) on the selection and implementation of hardware and design software.</li><li>Participates in project meetings such as turnover, phase gate, design reviews and lessons learned.</li><li>Interacts with the Core Technology Center (GEA Pharma factories) Engineering and Project Management team members to ensure the appropriate approach to NAM customers.</li><li>Works with the other members of the Pharma leadership team to drive business growth, ensure the delivery of customer commitments and to attain the budget goals.</li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsQualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required, plus a minimum of 5+ years of engineering automation experience.</li><li>3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment required. Highly matrixed, global experience preferred.</li><li>Leader with proactive approach to managing a team coupled with a strong strategic view for developing the available resources to accomplish project execution goals.</li><li>Must be able to plan, anticipate, and provide insights for the execution of future orders.</li></ul>The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position.
