What you’ll be doing For our cross-functional infrastructure and operations team, we’re seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and able to drive the development and optimization of our infrastructure with a holistic mindset. Infrastructure &amp; Architecture:<ul><li>Implement, monitor, and manage scalable, highly available systems on diverse platforms (cloud or Hardware-in-the-loop lab setups).</li><li>Employ infrastructure-as-code to build and maintain robust environments.</li><li>Work with various data storage solutions (Database, S3), ensuring optimal configuration, performance, and reliability.</li><li>Design scalable and highly available solutions for critical production environments or create and maintain development infrastructure.</li></ul>Operations &amp; Reliability:<ul><li>Operate and maintain software components, ensuring compliance with reliability requirements.</li><li>Set up, maintain, and refine monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.) to guarantee service level objectives (SLOs) are met.</li><li>Advocate for best practices and ensure operational excellence, responding quickly to high-impact issues and bugs.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Security:<ul><li>Drive initiatives to meet compliance frameworks (e.g. FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO, ESA CCM) and maintain documentation for audits.</li><li>Build and operate security-focused infrastructure components that support certification and trust requirements.</li><li>Develop OroraTech’s Trust Center, ensuring transparency and reliability for customers and partners.</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to simplify compliance processes and improve overall platform stability.</li><li>Evaluate customer security and compliance requirements and derive internal measures for compliance</li></ul> Collaboration &amp; Process:<ul><li>Collaborate closely with development, QA as part of product teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the organization.</li><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), ensuring seamless code deployment and robust test automation.</li><li>Document infrastructure, tools, and processes thoroughly, fostering knowledge sharing and consistency.</li></ul> Relevant Skills We expect that you bring the following:<ul><li>Real-world experience managing production grade infrastructure under real-world load conditions.</li><li>Advanced Linux knowledge for system configuration, networking, and packaging (Docker, Nix)</li><li>Expertise with major cloud platforms and container orchestration and Infrastructure as Code.</li><li>Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) to automate operational tasks.</li><li>Familiarity with Git-based workflows and continuous integration/delivery pipelines (GitLab CI).</li><li>Experience with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, FedRAMP, SOC 2, ESA CCM) and readiness to support audits.</li><li>Understanding of load balancing, scalability mechanisms, and best practices in security.</li><li>Strong problem solving capabilities &amp; proactive communication in a ticket-based, agile software development environment.</li><li>University degree in Computer Science, STEM/MINT, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Fluent in English, German is a plus </li></ul>We also highly appreciate and foster the following skills:<ul><li>Experience with geospatial data and spatial databases (PostGIS or similar)</li><li>Familiarity with microservice architecture and application monitoring technologies</li><li>Expertise with CI/CD processes and technologies (Gitlab, Jenkins, or similar)</li><li>Familiarity with basic DevOps technologies and concepts</li><li>Familiarity with UI/UX principles and design processes</li><li>Open-source contributions</li></ul> If you’re unsure you tick every box, apply anyway — we hire for potential.
