The team works solely in the data centre field, keeping abreast of current best practice while researching breakthrough technologies that shape future trends. As a leader in this market, we were one of the first consultancies to design air optimised data centres.  We work closely with our clients to develop, improve and deploy their standard ‘template’ designs across the world and so have the unique opportunity to influence the future of data centre design.  Our team also works on many unique data centre projects. The team are a source of world leading expertise – and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.<h2>The Role</h2>This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Critical Systems team in our London office and play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions on some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world. As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare both scheme and detailed designs from feasibility and concept through to detailed engineering design and site support. You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects, and be supported towards chartership. You will support, and be supported by, senior staff within the team.<h2>The Skills</h2>Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a data centre / critical system and building services context. You have proven ability in delivering creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills in English and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.  Job Description Your career at Cundall - Critical systems - Publications - CundallWe know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture.
