AECOM's Transportation business line has a position available in Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ for a Senior Civil Engineer with Highway Design experience. In this role the selected candidate will be working on projects associated with New Jersey Transportation projects as well as bridge replacement projects.The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:<ul><li>Leadership on Projects: Acting as the lead engineer for significant projects, guiding the technical direction.</li><li>Quality Control: Reviewing design calculations and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.</li><li>Technical Expertise: Providing expert knowledge in technical studies and design tasks.</li><li>Reviewing Work: Performing quality control on work done by other engineers, ensuring standards are met.</li><li>Budget and Schedule Management: Preparing estimates for engineering budgets and timelines for large projects.</li><li>Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participating in cross-functional reviews to assess and improve project deliverables.</li><li>Mentoring: Guiding and supporting junior engineers to help them develop their skills.</li><li>Cost Estimation: Creating detailed construction and technical effort cost estimates for projects.</li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>Stakeholder Communication: Presenting project plans and progress to clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Innovation: Implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve design efficiency and sustainability.</li><li>Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in projects and developing mitigation strategies.</li><li>Environmental Considerations: Incorporating environmental impact assessments into design processes.</li><li>Contract Administration: Assisting in the preparation and review of contract documents.</li><li>Site Inspections: Conducting site visits to assess project progress and address any on-site issues.</li></ul>
