AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Arlington, VA office.This position is expected to begin on June 2026.The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following items:<ul><li>Performs specific portions of a broader assignment under the mentoring of an experienced engineer.</li><li>Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.</li><li>Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and construction drawings.</li><li>Evaluate, select, apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and judgement based on experience to design HVAC systems in buildings using building information modeling.</li><li>Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.</li><li>Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design elements for engineering works.</li><li>Performs comparative analysis of system configurations and evaluates building performance metrics through advanced energy simulation and modeling software.</li></ul>
