Summary of Position  The Project and Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting machinery quotations, developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes for solar panel / PV module production and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities also include overseeing projects, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring compliance with standards. The individual also coaches and trains team members and develops SOPs, SWIs, and PFMEA for new production lines.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop and maintain processes for stringing, lamination, framing, and final testing.</li><li>Support the quotation of machinery or equipment required for the processes.</li><li>Identify and implement kaizen projects to improve productivity &amp; efficiency.</li><li>Monitor yields, scrap, and OEE; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions</li><li>Project Management.  Developing timelines, Budgets and Scope of Work for Projects.</li><li>Projects and process improvements (Drive cost reduction, throughout improvement, and operator training).</li><li>Collaborate with the Operations Team on Program Deliverables</li><li>Implement SPC, PFMEA, and control plans; maintain compliance with UL/IEC and ISO standards.</li><li>Support Plant Equipment Install / Debug / Launch / Continuous Improvement</li><li>Actively participate in meetings with the plants to support and meet the project deliverables.</li><li>Support equipment qualification, recipe optimization, and automation improvements.</li><li>Process equipment evaluation to implementation</li><li>Ensure equipment and systems comply with relevant standards and legislation.</li><li>Establishes equipment installation board and review weekly/daily with OEM and contractors.</li><li>Develop and lead trial runs at all sites.</li><li>Coaching / Mentoring / Training of newer / less experienced team members</li><li>Lead the Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI)</li><li>Lead the development of VSM (Value Stream Map) for Production lines across all sites</li><li>Responsible for the PFMEA for New production lines</li></ul>
